HISTORY

Having been in existence for more than 50 years, the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of cross-country skiing. Throughout our six-month ski season, we organize a variety of recreational and competitive activities for skiers of all ages, including group tours, youth programs, clinics, races, and trail grooming. During summer and fall, we run youth and adult training groups and classes, and other occasional events. Members receive The Alaska Nordic Skier newsletter, providing information on skiing events and activities around the state.

BIRCH HILL TRAIL FUND

It takes a community to maintain the world-class ski trails at Birch Hill and groom them as long as possible during the winter. Everyone who uses the trails any time of the year should consider donating at least annually to the Birch Hill Trail Fund. Thank you!

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is a relatively small but very significant way to support NSCF. There is strength in numbers, and plenty of membership benefits. Check out the Membership page for all the details, and to join or renew today!

VOLUNTEERING

Our club is nothing without its members and volunteers. To be brutally honest, we couldn’t provide all that we offer without our wonderful volunteers. We need help with everything from races to helping kids learn to ski to putting on events. Please see the list below for some of the many volunteer opportunities our club has to offer.
