The Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks operates a weather station near the start/finish area of the Jim Whisenhant Ski Trails at the Birch Hill Recreation Area. The station has been reporting data since November 6, 2017.

A live web camera is mounted near the Timing Building and faces northeast, showing the stadium, finish area, and the Cross Country Ski Chalet. The camera streams a near‑real‑time feed to the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks YouTube channel.
